Diane's decision to study law grew out of her own painful divorce as does her special commitment to her clients! Indeed, the commitment and advocacy of her own divorce attorney so impressed Diane that she halted her audiology career to attend Cardozo School of Law so that she could provide the same kind of dedicated service to her own clients. Diane and her son attended law school at the same time and made history as the first mother-son team to be admitted to practice on the same day in 1989. Since then, Diane has become an experienced, respected advocate for her clients both in court and at the negotiating table. After working for seven years with her mentor, legendary divorce lawyer Julia Perles, she joined the firm in 1996 when Ms. Perles retired. Diane has been a partner at the firm since 2000.
She is rated "AV" (the highest rating for both competence and ethics) by Martindale-Hubbell and in 2007 her peers recognized her a "Superlawyer". In addition to a number of local bar associations, Diane has been elected a fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Diane has been happily remarried since 1990.
