Frederic J. Siegel, a Fellow of The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, developed a family law practice based on insightful analysis, thorough presentation, artful advocacy and creative problem-solving. Mr. Siegel has joined with George A. Reilly, a lawyer with 25 years experience in family law, and Jacqueline A. Conlon, a zealous family law advocate, to establish the new firm.

William T. Fitzmaurice, a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, established Fitzmaurice & Siegel in Stamford, Connecticut based on insightful analysis, thorough presentation, artful advocacy and creative problem-solving.

Frederic J. Siegel is a member of both the Connecticut and New York Bars, and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. As a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and as an attorney with over 27 years experience in the practice of family law, Mr. Siegel offers extensive expertise to his clients.

Mr. Siegel was named one of the top 100 lawyers in the United States by Worth Magazine in 2007. Fred has appeared as a featured commentator on divorce and related matters on CNN, Good Morning America, and Inside Edition. He has been quoted as an authority on matters of matrimonial law in The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun Times and various other publications. Further, he authored an article featured in the Family Law Quarterly (Volume 22, Number 4 Winter 2009) entitled "How to Handle the 'Substantial Asset' Divorce Case". He has also represented numerous celebrity clients and been involved with various high profile divorce matters.

Among the many professional organizations to which Mr. Siegel contributes, he is a member of the Executive Committee of both the New York and Connecticut State Bar Association Family Law Sections and serves as Chairperson for the Committee on Public Service and Education for the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section. He previously served on the New York State Court Uncontested Divorce Committee and on the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the American Bar Association Family Law Section, for which he produced several Continuing Legal Education programs (including programs on Electronic Evidence, the issues involving a divorce with special needs children and financial issues and divorce).

Mr. Siegel has lectured on divorce issues at the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, Pace University School of Law and other institutions. Frederic J. Siegel has been a regular and featured speaker throughout the United States and Canada for the Association of Certified Divorce Financial Analysts, the American Bar Association, New York Bar Association, Fairfield County and Westchester County Bar Associations.
