Heidi came to SAMS in 1996, prior to which she was an associate in the matrimonial department of a large New York City firm. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1991 after graduating from Hofstra University School of Law. Since her admission, Heidi has practiced exclusively in the area of matrimonial law.
Heidi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (New York Chapter), a member of the American Bar Association (Family Law and Litigation Sections), the New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Heidi has lectured on the subject of matrimonial law for the New York State Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (New York Chapter) and InMotion (formerly known as the Network for Women’s Services) where she also served as a mentor. Heidi is also admitted to practice in Connecticut and the District of Columbia.
Heidi lives in Manhattan with her husband, Lance, also an attorney. They have two sons.
