Robert J. Sorge has been a partner of Cullen and Dykman LLP since 1991 and serves on the firm's Executive Committee and as Head of the Corporation/Energy Department.

Mr. Sorge counsels and assists the firm's energy and utility clients on a variety of commercial, regulatory and valuation matters. In particular, he represents utility and energy clients on energy project development and construction work, including: obtaining franchise, permits and consents; acquiring through eminent domain fee and right-of-way easement interests; and advising on state and local environmental and land use review issues. He also counsels the firm's clients on other environmental issues involving federal, state and local law including due diligence and compliance activities, safety requirements, petroleum storage and clean up obligations, asbestos, and PCB's.

In addition, Mr. Sorge has significant experience in representing regulated clients including local distribution companies, interstate pipelines and telecommunications companies in efforts to reduce real property and special franchise taxes.
