Gloria S. Neuwirth graduated from Hunter College in 1955, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and from Yale Law School in 1958. She is admitted to practice in New York and Florida and before the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to joining the firm as a partner in 1995, she was engaged in private practice in the New York area, and was a member of the firm of Kridel & Neuwirth. Her practice relates principally to estate planning, the administration of estates and trusts, private charitable foundations and public charities. She has written and lectured on a wide range of tax, estate planning and health planning topics. She has served as a Director of the Estate Planning Council of New York City, and a Director of the Financial Women's Association. She has also served on the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association, and the Trusts, Estates and Surrogate's Court Committee of the City Bar Association of New York. She currently serves as a trustee of various not-for-profit organizations and is counsel to several private foundations. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Real Property, Probate and Trust section of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Women Lawyers, the New York State Women's Bar Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She was selected as a top trusts and estates lawyer in the New York Times Super Lawyers Magazine, and she was named in New York magazine's Best Lawyers in the New York area.
