Jonathan E. Spodnick attended the University of Connecticut with a major in Biology and received his Bachelor of Science in 1985. He then attended the University of Bridgeport School of Law and graduated in 1989, second in his class, with a Juris Doctorate - Magna Cum Laude. Atty. Spodnick has practiced in the field of Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation since he graduated from Law School and has conducted several numerous civil trials. He originally practiced as an Associate at a Bridgeport law firm and then practiced in Waterbury, CT, before opening his own firm specializing in representing Plaintiffs in Personal Injury cases.
He has maintained his own firm, since 1991 with offices in Trumbull and Waterbury and continues to specialize in Personal Injury cases ranging from Car Accidents, Fall Down Accidents, Burn Injuries and Death Cases to Medical and Dental Malpractice and Worker’s Compensation. As a Trial Lawyer, Atty. Spodnick represents plaintiffs and injured victims in civil lawsuits in all State and Federal Courts. He has conducted many trials before civil juries and has received verdicts over One Million dollars and has become a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Club. Mr. Spodnick was certified as a “Civil Trial Specialist†by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 2003. He has been named to Connecticut Magazine’s “Super Lawyer†listing in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Recently he lectured on the subject of jury selection to members of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Connecticut Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association
Atty. Spodnick is also involved in numerous civic and fraternal organizations, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Greater Bridgeport St. Patrick’s Day Committee, and the Gaelic American Club.
