William T. Fitzmaurice is the founding partner of Fitzmaurice & Siegel, in Stamford, CT, predecessor firm to SIEGEL, REILLY & CONLON, LLC. Mr. Fitzmaurice is counsel to Siegel, Reilly & Conlon, LLC where he concentrates on family law and the related custody, financial and tax issues. Prior to establishing his own firm in 1994, Mr. Fitzmaurice practiced in the Family Law Group of Cummings & Lockwood from 1984 to 1994, where he became a partner in 1992. He received his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law.

Mr. Fitzmaurice has received numerous citations form Connecticut Legal Service for providing pro bono representation in matrimonial matters. From 1993 to the present, he has been appointed by each Chief Justice to serve on the Parenting Education Program Advisory Committee. In 1995, Mr. Fitzmaurice was appointed by Chief Family Administrative Judge Anne C. Dranginis to the committee that drafted new Practice Book Rules regarding procedure in family matters. In March, 2001, he was appointed by Chief Justice William Sullivan and the Connecticut Bar Association to serve on the Committee on Pro Se Litigants studying "do it yourself" divorce procedure in the State of Connecticut. In 2004, he was appointed by Chief Justice William Sullivan to the Lawyer Advertising Committee.
Attorney Fitzmaurice has written extensively on Connecticut family law issues and frequently speak on such issues to various local bar associations and civic groups.
For many years, Mr. Fitzmaurice has been recognized as an outstanding practitioner by Best Lawyers in America and other organizations.
