Alan has a B.A. degree from Binghamton University in English. He graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1993. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York. He was a partner at Horn, Shechtman, P.C. prior to forming Bagolie Friedman, LLC. Alan is a Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. This is a designation that less than 3% of New Jersey attorneys qualify for.
Alan concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury trial work for plaintiffs. He specializes in products liability, FELA (railroad workers), asbestos cases, worker's compensation, wrongful death cases, traumatic brain injury cases and automobile accident cases. He has won large jury verdicts in New Jersey and New York State Courts and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), The New Jersey Association of Trial Lawyers, the Hudson County Bar Association, and is a trustee of the North Hudson Lawyers. He is also a Governor of ATLA's Young Lawyers Division.
Alan has been a guest lecturer at Rutgers University and at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine on the subject of the role of epidemiology in the law. Alan has also lectured to lawyers on the subject of epidemiology. Alan is proud to have represented 9-11 World Trade Center Victims and their families pro-bono as a member of the Trial Lawyers Care program. Alan is married and has two sons.
