Donald Horowitz has extensive experience as a Federal and State Prosecutor, as well as many years in private practice. He was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey from 1963 to 1969, including serving as Chief of the Criminal Division (1966-68) and First Assistant U.S. Attorney (1968-69). He served as U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey in 1969. During that time he prosecuted the gamut of Federal crimes, including white collar crimes, drug cases and tax cases.
Since 1969, he has been in private practice, handling both criminal defense, state and Federal, and civil litigation. Since 1983, he has been one of very few lawyers certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey both as a Criminal Trial Attorney and a Civil Trial Attorney.
