Immigration
The United States welcomes thousands of foreign workers in different occupations, areas of specialty and in various employment categories every year. These include foreign business leaders and managers, artists, researchers, cultural exchange participants, information technology specialists, religious workers, investors, scientists, athletes, nurses, physicians and others. Each employment category for admission has different requirements, conditions and authorized periods of stay.
We counsel foreign workers and their employers regarding their specific nonimmigrant visa classification as well as the specific requirements and restrictions of their individual status as according to the terms of their application or petition for admission to the United States. Violations can have very serious consequences, and can even result in the foreign national’s removal or denial of re-entry into the United States in some instances.
We also assist businesses in the process of petitioning for permanent resident status on behalf of the foreign nationals that they wish to employ on a permanent basis in the United States.
